Runyon Canyon

The famous Runyon Canyon. This is located in the center of Los Angeles, a little safe haven for faux outdoorsmen (and women) to get their kicks after a long day at the beach. I feel so bad for them! :)
I decided to take this hike at 5am, when the path opens (sunrise). And it was incredible! I could see all of Los Angeles from the top of this mountain, and with the sun coming over the city, it was an unmatchable sight.

The many paths that cover the mountain...
The view of the mountain standing in the center of the city...
Sunrise...its okay to be jealous...even I am a little jealous!
These two photos are of a HUGE and beautiful house that is abandoned and blocked off...who would let this thing crumble, its so pretty!!??

I was standing on one peak and took a picture of the peak in front of me! It was many miles up and down and around this moutain!
More photos of the city. All the people that reside in LA, 4.5 million, can you believe it?!?

Ok, so look closely at this photo, I had a cool looking bird following me part of the way, it was sort of yellowish, its in the middle of the picture...
Is it just me or are there like A LOT of houses?!?!?
I took this photo with the thought that perhaps celebrities live in them and are enjoying their morning coffee!! Such pretty and unique houses in the hills!
This was a fun birdhouse looking thing at the top of a Runyon Canyon Peak

My visit to Runyon Canyon was awesome, I loved getting up so early that the only hikers were hardcore and had beautiful dogs hiking with them. Makes me want a canine running companion! The sights were beautiful and the trails were well traveled! I was pretty sore after the hike, I would estimate that I went about 5 miles up and down. It was an incredible workout, something I wish Minnesota had, lots of hills and mountains to climb! Its makes me miss my home and the fun outside activities!
Next up...HOLLYWOOD! As always, stay tuned!
