This is a Santa Monica beach at sunset...I drove right past Los Angeles and hightailed it to the beach!! And let me tell you how wonderful it was!
The glow from the sun hitting the water, waves, and fellow beach-goers was incredible

Perfect! And surprisingly, it was freezing by the water and at night it gets super cold in California!!
That is just a brief look at the beach and Santa Monica (my new favorite place)...check back for my hike up the famous Runyon Canyon!!!
