Pre-Dancing
This is my first official blog posting!!
I am excited, but a little apprehensive jumping on the "blog" wagon.
My sister suggested that I start doing this as a sort of therapy and to catalog the things I am going through, think (obsess) about, and just my life....Let's see how this goes....
First, you should know a little bit about me:
My name is Cassandra...most people call me Cassie or Cass (you decide).
I live in the Midwest, but I am moving (Adventure Alert) to the West Coast June 22nd! I plan to take a cross country trip before I actually make it to the West Coast, spanning the ENTIRE summer!! One of my best friends, Brian explains it as “heading to the West Coast via Philadelphia.” Don’t ask me how I managed that, let’s just say I have been extremely fortunate and smart with my money!
I come from a very large family, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. We are all very close, which is nice and not always typical! We fight and argue, but we would do anything for each other. And don’t even try to get a word in edgewise at family get-togethers, we hit a 10 on the Richter scale. I’ll go into more detail as we get to know each other, but for now we will just stick with the basics. I am number 3 out of 6, fairly independent and VERY dramatic. I feel like I was meant to stand out. My family is interesting in that we are almost all 3 years apart, and it goes boy girl, boy girl, and so on.
Another thing you should know is that I have the fever. The running fever that is.
I just ran my very first marathon (that’s 26.2 miles…straight!) and I can’t wait until my next one. I have never felt so alive and accomplished! I can’t wait to hit the trails and run outside in the fresh air! How wonderful! I am going to say this….it doesn’t even feel like exercise!!! Throughout my travels, my running techniques, issues, and thoughts are bound to burst out at infrequent intervals.
This is just the beginning to a wonderful, fun, exciting, scary summer spent on the road as a Gypsy!
Up next…a meet and greet with my “road crew!”

I envy you. I have longed to travel for weeks, caring only for the road ahead and the memories accumulated. I wish you well in your travels. "Go your way in safety."
